Happy Halloween Folks!

We are a little excited about Halloween. Well, some of us more than others. Too bad his Lion costume was too big because it was way cute but it looked like he had been eaten by a Lion and it wasn't a big meal at all. We still had a good time at the church and we enjoyed seeing all of our friends dressed up in silly costumes. More will appear soon so enjoy these now and be aware that yours may show up soon. Posted by Hello

How many pastors would dress up in a hilarious outfit like this and let you take a picture? Do you think he would have thought a little longer about that decision if he knew I would post it here? I don't because that is just the way Jamie is. Posted by Hello

Thursday Night Photo Shoot

One happy (and two out of three very tired) Family. We look pretty rough but he sure made the photo worth all the effort.
The Yak returned tonight with a vengeance! Bouncy seats are not for infants who have just fed for 45 minutes. Especially when they are set on the vibrate mode. The moment I turned it on, he gave me the Yak shot all over his onesie, feet, bouncer, 1/2 foot of the floor and into my lap. I tried to get some pics but they didn't work out. Oh well.
Keri, Crystal, and Ashleigh came by and dropped off food for us. We truly appreciate the kindness you folks have shown us. Courtney has been going above and beyond the call of freindship by coming every day she can and sitting with Luke and Mandy. Doing whatever she can to help. Which is mainly give mom a chance to get a nap every once in a while. Elijah is gonna be one lucky little boy to have her as a mom and Noah as a dad.  Posted by Hello

Sorry for the delay Sam, but I had some camera issues that I had to resolve. This is a pretty good picture with his hair in it. Hope you like it. Any other picture requests? Posted by Hello

YAK ATTACK!

Last night we were attacked by a undercover yak. Around 3 a.m. Mandy had just laid Luke down after his feeding and left the bedroom. I was awakened to the sound of "The Yak". I jumped up and looked into the bassinet to find Luke covered in Yak juice, something akin to sour cream that has been watered down to a saucey texture. Luke had been drenched from head to toe by the sneaky beast who entered and left our home undetected.
I wonder if he is related to the tooth fairy?
Does anyone else have any tales of the "Yak" coming over to leave a saucey present? Posted by Hello

Glamour Shots

Click on the header to go to the St. Vincents site. The pic code is 050-71228. I don't believe that you have to enter your relation to the child or your e-mail address unless you want to. There is a second pic but I couldn't get it to come up. I will try to get them to post it soon. The code for it is 050-71225. Keep trying.
We just had our first sponge bath which was a lot of fun.
Luke is not a crier. Not at all. He hasn't even cried for 2 minutes in sucession. He DOES give dirty looks. Everything seems to be going great and on schedule as of now. Other than a bit of a rash, he seems absolutely perfect.
I start my new job Monday along with the first day of wrestling practice, so tomorrow will be very rough indeed. Good thing that CC (his granny) will be staying with mom and baby for the day.
Tuesday he goes for his first check-up so keep us in your prayers. Thank you all for the sweet comments on the pics. Mom needed a boost which all of you provided. keep up the good work.

Finally Home!

Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to present new mother and son, Mandy and Luke! (Doesn't she look good for just giving birth? I know that I am partial but hey, she is beautiful!)
We should be adding a link to St.Vincents official baby picture page within 48 hours so everyone can see his "Glamour Shots" pics. Posted by Hello

I may be only 10 minutes old but I already have on my fresh duds and I'm checking out the nurses. "Hey Ladies!! Woo woo!!" Posted by Hello

Baby Day

Hey this is Kathy! I just got off the phone with Chris and I have an update on Mandy and Lil' Luke. It's 10:57 a.m (cst) and Mandy has finally had her epidural. She is currently at 4 cm and doing good. Before she had the eipdural she was complaining "a little bit" of pain, but now she's in La-La Land, and all is well!! They are at St. Vincent's Hospital and in Room 317. Chris said the nurses said maybe within the next 6 hours we'll have Luke here! (So give or take on time, we're having a baby today!!!) They're doing good and in good spirits too!! So, if I hear anything else from Chris, I'll let ya'll know!!! I'll be going to the hospital around noon, so I'll try and post something else when I get back!

Here We Go!

We are going to church this afternoon before we head to the Hospital to begin the induction process.
I am by no means a doctor but I have been told that there is some type of pre-induction procedures that we will begin tonight in preparation for tomorrows birth. We spend the night at the hospital so this will be my last post before the birth. I will post pics as soon as possible.
Pray for his safe delivery and moms speedy recovery.
Can I just say that this is awesome? I have been putting together all kinds of baby swings, moniters, pack-and-plays, strollers, and I believe something that resembles a time- machine/breastpump/convection oven.
All of the tiny clothes and lullaby players are crushing me.(IWILLNOTCRYIWILLNOTCRYIWILLNOTCRY!!!!!!)
Nerves are just starting to set in so I hope the whole process doesn't take too long. I know it will but hey, who blames me for positive thinking?
All I have to do is comfort mom, give her positive reinforcement, take the verbal abuse like a man, and take pictures at the correct time and angles that show the baby and mom (in the most flattering ways possible) without showing too much of the unmentionables.
Pray for me too, just a little dab will do me.

Meet the "Cast" and Crew!

We made two belly casts this weekend. It was surprisingly easy to do and not as messy as we expected. (Except for the vaseline that you apply before the cast. That stuff is hard to wash off!) The first one we did on Saturday included moms hands on her belly. It was sort of a trial run and we learned that we had to pick a comfortable chair and position after 20 of the 30 minutes it took to complete. We figured this out the hard way. After a few tears and more than a few yells and screams, we changed out of the chair and into the floor. It didn't ruin the cast but it did make it less that we wanted. So back to Hobby Lobby we went and got more supplies for Sundays cast. This time we got a comfy chair and position so no need to move. Plus, we didn't include the hands due to the complexity that they add to the process. Next, we will add a coat of plaster to strengthen the mold and sand it to a smooth finish.Yee-haw! Posted by Hello

Look How Excited We are About the New Addition!

We just got home from the St.Vincents. Luke has been very cooperative and returned to the head down position! It looks like we won't need the seats in Section-C after all. He has decided to come down the main aisle and enter stage front and center. No side entrance for this guy!
Doctor Christine said that if there are no changes by Monday, she will induce by next Wednesday, but if there are any changes by Thursay this week, she will induce on Friday. Either way, it is semi-officially one week till baby!
Devadander looks real happy huh?  Posted by Hello

Kids in the back? Let's goatoo the movies?

Here is that pic again Jen. I couldn't figure out how to fix the broken link. Posted by Hello

We Wanna Get Remarried!

We just got home from the Pregnancy picture shoot by our friend Cindy Robertson. Cindy and Roger own a wedding chapel in Virginia Mines called "Somewhere in Time".
It was raining so we didn't get a lot of pics on the outside (plus Mandy and I were running late, as usual.)Cindy took a few pics with our digital camera so that we could post them here as soon as possible. We can't wait to see the 35mm shot she took in both color and B&W.
The chapel was awesome. It feels like something out of a movie. Everything has an antique look about it. You can tell that they put a lot of time and effort into remodeling the place. We have already begun to plan our 10 year anniversary-vow renewal with this place in mind. I don't think they have a web site but if they do I will make a link to it.
In other news, we go tomorrow for another check up. If Luke is still breach like he was last week, they will plan the C-section for Friday! If not, they may induce on Friday! Either way, we are in the home stretch you could say. I will keep things updated, I promise! Posted by Hello

Mining For Gold!

Kids do the darndest things! Usually they do them in public as if they do it at home all the time and you are totally cool with it.
Oh well, what can you say except, "Eat'em up while you can!"  Posted by Hello
