From a distance, this Giant "Boyd's Bear" looked cute and I thought it would be funny to get a picture with "Him". Once I got close enough to see the multi-faceted eyes and lack of a mouth (that is not a nose! It is the gap between his mandibles!) I realized that it was a giant Tarantula hunting for small children to take to the F.O.B (Friends of Boyd) room to eat or worse. Luckily, Luke and I were able to convince it that we were some sort of 8 appendaged creature just like him and he let us go. Posted by Hello

Yeah, I don't really know if we'll be joining you on any subsequent trips to the land of scary scary spiderbears. We are going to have a hard enough time raising Eli without too many traumatic childhood events...is taking our children there (voluntarily, mind you)REALLY the best idea? ...of course, Luke has now braved the beast and live to coo about it...maybe the Land of Boyd is a place to nurture self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. ~~We'll have to pray about it.:)~courtney
