This is Funny
This is what I DO NOT look forward to. Make sure and stick around after the credits to watch the little boy act nutty. I stole this from Waxy as usual. I love kids.

Daddy "Director"
We have lots of updates in the works but I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been granted a Director's account on Youtube. That means that I can upload videos that are over 10 minutes in length and a few other fancy extras, none of which really matter.
I uploaded the eating contest from this weekend's Concord Baptist Youth Retreat just to test the +10 minute "water". I will be releasing an editted version later with extra camera angles and all that but I just wanted to see how long it took to upload.
Click the header to go to my "channel" and subscribe to it. I don't know why or what benefits that will bring you or I but I understand that it is the cool thing to have subscribers.
Yes, this video is 24 minutes long but make sure you catch Nick jumping in at the end and trying to conquer the final challenge.

First Haircut
Yeah, this was a little late considering he looked kinda shaggy. (just like his dad)A 2 year old shouldn't have to wipe the hair out of his eyes.
Luke was a great sport about the whole thing, not crying and sitting relatively still.
Stephanie has been cutting Mandy's hair for quite some time and just recently started cutting mine. (due in part to my regular hair person, Nadia, taking an extended trip home to Pakistan)
Stephanie is located in Hueytown at her shop called "Happy Hair". She does a great job and is real easy to talk to. She is highly recommended. Her # is (205)491-8600.

3 Years in Review Pt. 1
Okay, so this is a little looonngg. Oh well, I had a lot of fun putting it together. It is very difficult to make a photo montage movie that is worth watching and I am not sure if I pulled it off. Watch part 1 and then 2. They were originally one video but it was too big a file for Youtube so I had to split it.
The song/songs are Polyphonic Spree doing a live show on a morning radio show. They are just such a happy group.
3 Years in Review Pt.2
This is the second part. It starts off the same but give it a second. Too bad youtube only allows 10 minute videos or I would have left it together.

Luke and Eli on the Swing
I wish I had the video camera when we went over to Eli's house yesterday but the pictures turned out great. We played on the swingset right after luch Christmas Eve.(thus Eli's B-B-Que beard)
Merry Christmas everyone. (This is a present especially for Auntie Sunshine)

Luke in the Leaves
We raked leaves last week so Luke could play in them. I remember how they provided plenty of cushion when I was young. Not so much now. I think I broke something on my first "dive" into the leaves. Oh well, he enjoyed it immensly. I have found that the longer videos get less views so I cut this one short. I editted the song down to 2 minutes, all apologies go out to Sam Beam for chopping his music up.

Learning to Fly
We took a short helicopter ride while on vacation. Luke has always been obsessed with flying things so this was especially cool for him. |

Wild Thing

This is my favorite childrens book. I bought it several weeks after Luke was born and we have been reading it quite frequently to him before bed. (along with several hundred other books he keeps beside the bed)I never put too much into interpreting the book until I read this.

My favorite childrens book growing up was Where The Wild Things Are. Luke has enjoyed it a lot too. So much so that I asked my mother to make him a wolf suit of his own for Halloween. Now we knew that most people wouldn't get it and that it would seem odd but I knew that he would get a real kick out of being "The King of All Wild Things" for at least one night. My mom did an awesome job with the costume and we all had a blast. A true "Wild Rumpus" was had by all. The following posts are our renditions of the first three pages of the book. Maybe I should have Luke pose out each page for our own version.
