Lukes got the baby blues real bad. Earplugs not included.(unfortunately) Posted by Picasa

Taylor Hicks eat your heart out. Posted by Picasa

On Easter morning Luke recieved a Basket O' Airplanes. (Ailleens! Pronounced closely to "Arlyn's" but he was in the Navy so how he made that connection I don't know, hmm, maybe "Aliens!") Posted by Picasa

Ask Luke what an airplane does and he gives you this move along with a big growl. Posted by Picasa

You could say that he was excited. Posted by Picasa

Add your own "Top Gun" quote here. Posted by Picasa

I'm not sure what this is about but it is the most incredulous look I have ever seen. I get this look from Mandy all the time. It says, "In your dreams buddy." Posted by Picasa

Luke showinng everyone that he has a pair. (Of plastic eggs, dirty minds! Sheesh.) Posted by Picasa

Warning; Public Menace!

Please click the header to read the article about the menace who is free on our streets. Be sure to heed the final warning, do not look him in the face, for fear of a face rocking!(McSweeney's is so funny! I check back there every week for great humor.)

I Love Kids

While I'm posting video off youtube anyway (which I can't believe worked!), I had to put this up as well. I remember my own reaction to getting my dream toy. Those were the days. Of course mine was my cable modem 2 years ago but my reaction was much the same as theirs. I can't wait till Luke can give me one of these reactions.

10,000 Days

Okay, Tools new album comes out on May 2nd. The single has been released but isn't being played in our town, the video isn't finished, what is a fan to do? Go to Youtube of course! Check out this fan made video. It is really high quality but kinda long.

Almost 6 months to the day from the accident, Mandy got on the lawnmower and cut the grass! No, it is not the same mower but talk about guts, mom is awesome. When I thanked her for cutting the grass she said the most powerful thing, "I wasn't cutting the grass, I was cutting fear and self-doubt out of my life." No truer words could be said. Posted by Picasa

Easter Card material. Mandy was especially proud when the developer at Walmart told her that they couldn't make copies of professional prints. Mandy showed her our driveway in the backgound and admitted to taking the picture herself.Maybe mom should go pro. Posted by Picasa

I decided to risk the grass stains and lay him in this flowery patch of our overgrown grass.(Which we cut this weekend, YAY!) I think it was worth it for this picture alone. Posted by Picasa

From the Blooper reel. Too bad the Iris never made it into any of the good pictures. Luke ripped it to shreds shortly after this picture. Posted by Picasa

Speaking of Family

The Legend, Jesco White, may not be related to me but he has to live near someone in my bloodline. We have been enjoying the videos for the last 2 weeks at work and I thought I would share with you guys. Click on the title of this post to go to the site.
I, along with most of you, had heard of these videos long ago but had never seen them myself. It is better than I could have imagined. Make sure to catch the "Mud Bowling(?)" near the end of the first video. Priceless. Google video rocks out.
Also, Mandy went to the Doctor today and was told that the bone infection is gone so she will not need any more surgery unless she wants it. Her next appt. is in October. She had her last physical therapy last week. Dr.Oakes said that Mandy has more strength, movement, and control than they had ever hoped for. She said Mandy's recovery time was unbelievable and wants to take pictures to show some of the other Doctors who helped with the surgeries. She said that they wouldn't believe it without proof.
God has worked some amazing miracles in our lives and we are truly thankful for him and all of your who have been praying for us and encouraging us all along the way.

This is truly a landmark moment in my life, not Lukes, mine. I, Chris, fed Luke TWO, 2 jars of food (Sweet Potatoes and Chicken along with Dutch Apple Dessert) in 30 minutes without getting a single drop on his clothes! NONE, NADA, ZIPPO STAINO, a.k.a. NO SHIRT CHANGE-O! IN case you haven't heard, Luke is not a big fan of food of any kind. A two jar meal is rare and usually requires many toys, movies, crying(me), spitting(him) and a complete wardrobe makeover. Tonight we watched Baby Einstein's "On The Go" while playing with duck, nail clippers (they go POW!) and Spidey's spastic 4-wheeler.(It drives crazy) Coming soon: Potty Training! Any suggestions?  Posted by Picasa

When I asked him why he slapped Spidey's 4-wheeler in the floor he just gave me this look and said, " Gone." Yeah, I know that sherlock, how about why? Posted by Picasa

I'll just sing along with the T.V. and be cute till dad drops the subject. Posted by Picasa

Hey, Luke has a swimsuit for this summer! Posted by Picasa

This is what I like to call Mandy's " I Will Kill You Later" smile. We were sitting in the gazebo outside the Shoneys restaurant in Clanton, Al discussing how my family never communicates clearly. We had arrived at Shoneys for a family get together at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Only then did we find out (from the wait staff at Shoneys) that it was a Bridal Tea at the hotel next door at 3 p.m. What can I say? Welcome to my family. We always laugh it off and have a new "wacky" story to tell. But we had an hour to kill with a 17 month old without his nap either in a crowded restaurant or in the rain. Now you understand the smile. You can almost see the malice swimming in her eyes, the shout right behind her teeth. And there I am snapping pictures and laughing from a safe distance. Posted by Picasa

We still had a good time watching Luke try out his raincoat and stomping in puddles for the first time. Posted by Picasa

Disposition
mention this to me.
mention something, anything..
and watch the weather change. .

MJK (Tool) Tool is releasing a new album soon and I am hoping they have continued their direction from the last album.  Posted by Picasa

Luke didn't seem too stoked when I told him we were going out to see the storm roll in. The wind had just started to pick up and the weatherman said little to no lightning so I couldn't resist. I new high winds would freak him out, making hilarious pictures. Yes, I have about twenty wild eyed, mouth wide open shots which I didn't post. Imagine the bath pics only outside. (and with clothes, duh) Posted by Picasa

I swear that he has never seen Harry Potter. But I think he thought he caused the wind by waving the two sticks around. He kept pointing them at the wind. Highly amusing to me, magical to him. Posted by Picasa

Weatherman Luke says, "The wind will be coming from the sky today and it will blow at you, making your hair whip around and your mouth open wide to catch all the dirt and leaves." Posted by Picasa

The wind was pretty impressive to a 16 month old. Posted by Picasa

We had to go in when the weather got too much. Luke decided to err on the side of caution. Posted by Picasa

Luke went to see the circus at the mall a few weeks ago and got to ride the merry-go-round. He doesn't look too excited but then, neither would you if you were riding a crazed pig frozen mid-rampage. Check out the wild eye on that porker. Posted by Picasa
